Azerbaijani political exiles from Iran hold press conference

Baku. Ramil Mammadli â€“ APA. Political exiles from South Azerbaijan held a press conference.

APA reports that the exiles informed about the earthquakes occurred in South Azerbaijan on August 11 and protested the Iranian governmentâ€™s indifference toward the people suffered from natural disasters.

Babak Mugam said that the first humanitarian aid to the quake-affected area arrived very late. Police units were deployed in the affected area instead of the rescuers and emergency aid brigades. It resulted in the increase of death number in the above mentioned territory.

Shahrizad Jahanpanah said that the quake occurred in the territory settled by Azerbaijanis, was committed artificially by the Iranian military servicemen. He claims that Iran chose this territory because was sure that there will be no protests.

According to journalist Tofug Turkel, Iranian government said that the quake consequences must be eliminated very quickly. According to him, the people living in that territory are so poor that they didnâ€™t have money to build the houses at their own expenses.
