A development, implementation of the social policy, continuation of economic reforms are realities of Azerbaijan for today, President Ilham Aliyev
The Head of State was told that through one of the Kur-Baku pipelines water would be supplied to Hajigabul, Shirvan, Neftchala and Bilasuvar cities as well as 121 villages. The launch of the Shirvan-Mughan group pipeline will ensure the continuous supply of quality drinking water to a total of 470,000 people.
President Ilham Aliyev laid the foundation stone for the facility.
The Head of State addressed the ceremony.
“Today is a very significant day in the life of our country. Today we have laid the foundation for a new huge water project. I heartily congratulate you on this occasion.
This project is very important. As you know, in recent years in our country is implementing water and sewer projects, this process has a wide scope. The task is put on compeltion of all the water and sewer projects in a few years in Azerbaijan. It was a great need, because, as you know, there has always been a shortage of water and sanitation did not exist in the regions. But as a result of measures implemented in the framework of the adopted programs, it is intended to implement these projects.
Shirvan, Mugan water supply is also an integral part of this great program. I am confident that the project, the foundation we have laid today, will be completed by the end of next year, and thus, the water problems of six districts, it can be said to be resolved. This project will cover 121 villages and 5 towns Hajigabul, Shirvan, Bilasuvar, Neftchala, Salyan and Sabirabad areas. Thus, as a result of this project, and water projects in other regions existed for many years the water problem will be solved, and Azerbaijan entered a new phase. Because extensive creative work and accomplishment are going in our country and covering all the areas.
Among these works infrastructure projects take first place, and in recent years in this direction much have been done. We can say now, our energy capacity has grown significantly, and not only for ourselves but also we are exporting electricity. Produced energy capacity allows us ensure fully energy security in the future and to export even greater amounts of energy.
In our country gasification projects are realized. The task is to bring the gas supply of Azerbaijan to 95 percent till the end of next year. Serious measures are taken for the construction of rural roads. The largest allocations from the Reserve Fund of the President, are spent to the construction of rural roads. And this is normal. Because the roads in the villages, their condition can not satisfy us, and thanks to the construction of new modern asphalt roads we will solve this serious problem. We must make sure that all the villages in Azerbaijan have good roads.
New water lines both in Baku and the regions meeting modern standards will also be a great support to human healthâ€, said Ilham Aliyev, the President of Azerbaijan .
