Azerbaijani President lays foundation stone for Shirvan-Mughan group water pipeline in Hajigabul â€“ <font color=red>UPDATED </font>

The President first viewed the facilityâ€™s scheme and technical specifications. APA reports that the Head of State was told that through one of the Kur-Baku pipelines water would be supplied to Hajigabul, Shirvan, Neftchala and Bilasuvar cities as well as 121 villages. The launch of the Shirvan-Mughan group pipeline will ensure the continuous supply of quality drinking water to a total of 470,000 people. President Ilham Aliyev laid the foundation stone for the facility. The Head of State addressed the ceremony. He assessed this day as a significant day in the countryâ€™s life and conveyed his congratulations on laying the foundation of the new project. President Aliyev underlined the successful implementation of water and canalization projects in the republic in recent years and said that the main aim was to finish the implementation of all water and canalization projects in Azerbaijan within a few years. Speaking about the other projects in our country, President Aliyev noted that our energy resources offer opportunity to ensure Azerbaijanâ€™s ensure security in full. The projects considering the natural gas supply of whole territory of the country are implemented successfully. The gasification will reach 95% next year. Serious measures are being taken on construction of village roads.

The Head of State underlined that the water lines established both in Baku and the regions, as well as meeting the modern standards makes an important contribution to the health of people. For example, President Aliyev noted that Oghuz-Gabala-Baku water pipeline had a decisive role in water supply of Baku.

Speakers at the event, including chairman of Azersu Gorkhmaz Huseynov, head of Hajigabul executive authorities Ahmad Mukhtarov, teacher at Shirvan City Lyceum and School No. 1 Aynura Rzayeva, and head of Gizilaghaj municipality in Shirvan Bunyad Yolchuyev, thanked the President for his care and attention.

Then President Aliyev congratulated once again the residents of six regions covered by Shirvan-Mughan water pipeline and extended good wishes to them.
