Tatiana Mishelova: Azerbaijani side should present draft laws about Freedom of assembly and election legislation

â€œAzerbaijani side declared that they are ready to cooperate with VC. Azerbaijani side should present draft law about amendments to VC. In its turn, VC will adopt the extract about the law after the commission studies the documents thoroughly. VC is supposed to adopt the extract about election legislation in summer next year,â€? she said.
Mishelova added that, on December 15-16 in the 69th plenary meeting of the VC, the experts of the commission will touch upon the results of the negotiations held with Azerbaijani delegation. But the discussions concerning Azerbaijan will not be held.
It should be noted that, from the Azerbaijani side Fuad ALESKEROV Head of Department of Co-ordination, Law Enforcement Agency, Administration of the President of Azerbaijan, Republic of Azerbaijan, Shahin ALIYEV Head of Department of Legislation and Legal Expertise, Office of the President , Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr Chingiz ASGAROV, AttachÃ©, Administration of the President, Republic of Azerbaijan, OSCE Baku Office representative Andreas Bush , from the side of Venice Commission Finola FLANAGAN, Vice-President of the Venice Commission, members of Venice Commission Bogdan AURESCU and Alain Chablais participated in the meeting. Shahin Aliyev represented Azerbaijani government at the meeting. The representative of OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights J.Stonestrid and IFES Baku Office chief Blesington participated in the meeting. The chief of Elections and Referendums Sergey Kuznetsov represented Venice Commission in the negotiations. /APA/
