Azerbaijani President visits Gala Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum and attends the opening of Antique Museum

APA reports that President and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva were informed that the establishment of Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum Complex in the territory of State Archaeological and Ethnographic Preserve in Gala settlement in 2008 under the auspices of Heydar Aliyev Foundation serves to maintain the historical past, and turn our country into one of the tourist resort area.

It was noted that the â€œClean Fortressâ€ project was launched by â€œClean Cityâ€ OJSC on the initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation. The purpose of the project is to organize the complex management â€“ gathering, reprocessing of wastes in the settlement up to modern standards.

President and his spouse planted a tree in Gala Park.

Then the Head of State were acquainted with sand bath complex built in XII-XIV centuries.

During the acquaintance with Ethno-Ecological Center it was noted that all conditions were established in the center considered mainly for children and youth.

President and his spouse were also acquainted with Gala monument complex built in X-XIV centuries.

President was informed that Gala Antique Museum was established in preserve on the initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

President Aliyev cut the ribbon symbolizing the official opening. It was said that the museum demonstrates 800 showpieces.

President Aliyev wrote his cordial words in the museumâ€™s book of remembrance and Mehriban Aliyeva signed the book of remembrance.

Then the Head of State and his spouse were acquainted with the newly-constructed caravanserai-restaurant.

President Aliyev expressed satisfaction with the work, gave his recommendations and instructions.
