She said that such kind of appeals was sent to the parliament’s standing committees, administration, parliamentarians and structures dealing with the women’s problems.

According to Bahar Muradova, the parliament always focuses attention on the domestic violence against women and the law on “Domestic violence” was adopted in 2010.
“During the discussions of this law some considered that the adoption of such laws may undermine the family institution and national values. But despite the development, there are old problems and problems arising from the development, they must be regulated by the law. These laws must be adopted so that women can defend their rights and get rid of the domestic problems. Though the laws have been adopted, there are serious obstacles in their execution,” he said.
