Azerbaijani parliamentâ€™s committee on natural resources, power engineering and ecology holds meeting

Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev â€“ APA. Azerbaijani parliamentâ€™s committee on natural resources, power engineering and ecology held a meeting, APA reports. Vice-speaker of the parliament, chairman of the committee Valeh Alasgarov said it was offered to annex two new articles to the Code of Administrative Offences. According to these articles, individuals will be fined AZN 20, officials AZN 50, legal entities AZN 100 for causing obstacles to prevent the violation of legislation in water supply, gas, electricity.

The parliamentarians also discussed the draft law on â€œApproving, confirming, permitting to implement the production sharing agreement signed between the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic and Bahar Energy Ltd for exploration, rehabilitation and development of Bahar and Gum Deniz fieldsâ€. It was noted that in accordance with the presidentâ€™s order, the agreement was signed on December 22.

The parliamentarians underlined that the document had prepared taking into account Azerbaijanâ€™s interests and risks in the field and recommended to consider the draft law at the plenary meeting of the parliament.
