Baku authorities respond Musavatâ€™s appeal to hold picket

Baku. Elnur Mammadli â€“ APA. Baku authorities rejected the appeal of Musavat Party to hold a picket calling it non-expedient to hold a protest action outside the building of Baku Executive Power, head of the election department of Musavat party Gulaga Aslanli told APA. He said the party officials would discuss the issue whether to hold unauthorized meeting or not.

Baku Mayor Hajibala Abutalibov rejected the Musavat leaderâ€™s letter to allocate appropriate places for them. The party called it contrary to Article 49 of the Constitution of Azerbaijan and Law on Freedom of Assembly and decided to hold an action outside the Baku Executive Power on April 6.
