President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to leave for state visit to Estonia tomorrow

This is the Azerbaijani president’s first state visit to Estonia. The purpose of the visit is to intensify political dialogue and advance the treaty base between the two nations, as well as to promote co-operation in the information and communication, economic, science and cultural sectors, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia told APA. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has meetings scheduled with President Toomas Hendrik Ilves and Prime Minister Andrus Ansip. President Aliyev will visit the ICT Demo Centre, give a lecture at the Foreign Ministry, place a wreath at the base of the Monument to the War of Independence, and meet with the mayor of Tallinn.
The Azerbaijani president is accompanied on his visit by Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, who will meet with Foreign Minister Urmas Paet on 7 April. Paet and Mammadyarov will sign an agreement for the protection of investments between Estonia and Azerbaijan and an agreement on visa freedom for holders of diplomatic passports. The president’s delegation will also include Minister of Information Technology and Communication Ali Abbasov and Minister of the Economic Development Shahin Mustafayev.
