Baku. Elnur Mammadli - APA. Some opposition parties of Azerbaijan have discussed Madrid proposals on solution to Nagorno Karabakh problem. Opposition parties protested against thesis on holding referendum in Nagorno Karabakh according to Madrid proposals, Umid Party Chairman Igbal Aghazadeh told APA. “Submitting this issue for discussion is wrong itself. In any case referendum will make Nagorno Karabakh become independent or separate it from Azerbaijan and give it to Armenia. As an Azerbaijani opposition we object it and want Azerbaijani government to withdraw from this position. It can’t be a subject of negotiations. Holding referendum in any part of the country is contrary to our state interests. But if they haven’t agreed with it, then let them say it openlyâ€, said Aghazadeh. According to him, the opposition parties will hold mass actions and other events if the government does not take a step in this direction.
