Ali Ahmadov: “No one has right to forget this tragedy”

Baku. Elnur Mammadli – APA. New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) held an event on commemoration of 18th anniversary of Khojaly tragedy. According to APA, members of the parliament and party activists participated at the event held in the headquarters of YAP’s organization in Narimanov district of Baku.

YAP Deputy Chairman Ali Ahmadov said Khojaly was one of the horrible tragedies of human history and children, women and old people were cruelly killed in Khojaly. “No one has right to forget this tragedy. People loss its warlike character if they forget their tragedy”.

Ahmadov said world community was sensitive to the tragedies happened in different places of the world, but it had double standards in its attitude to Khojaly tragedy. “The world countries are indifference to this tragedy, but it shouldn’t make us to avoid struggle. We have to continue efforts to enter this tragedy to the world’s history”.

MP Ahmad Valiyev said it needed to evaluate events in time. He said Azerbaijan was able to liberate its territories, but today it was early to appeal to arms.

Other parliamentarians and Khojaly residents delivered speeches at the event.
