Website devoted to Azerbaijani National Heroes presented

Baku. Lachin Sultanova â€“ APA. The website devoted to Azerbaijanâ€™s National Heroes www.milliqahraman.az has been presented, APA reports. Addressing the presentation ceremony parliamentarian Ganira Pashayeva said it was an important event. The parliamentarian said the website had been launched on her initiative, detailed information about the national heroes would be available on the website.

Ganora Pashayeva said the website would be regularly updated.
â€œIf we promote our national heroes, especially among the youth, everybody will choose the hero he wants to look like,â€ she said.

MP Havva Mammadova said informing both the country and the world community about the national heroes was a great patriotism.
â€œEnglish version of the website should be prepared so that the whole world can get information about the national heroes of Azerbaijan. We should take into account that both our enemies and our friends read our websites. Let everybody know Azerbaijani heroes,â€ she said.

Rasim Aliguliyev, director of Information Technologies Institute of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences that gave great support for the website, said information about 210 national heroes, materials about Khojaly genocide would be posted on the website. The website will be launched in a few days, English version will be prepared soon.

Aliguliyev said information about 4459 Azerbaijanis captured by Armenians, over 44,000 people, who lost physical health as a result of the war, over 22,000 Azerbaijani martyrs would also be available on the website.
