ANAS Human Rights Institute holds scientific conference on mass crimes Armenians committed against Azerbaijanis in 20th century

Elnur Mammadli â€“ APA. Karabakh Liberation Organization has organized a scientific conference on the subject of mass crimes committed by Armenians against Azerbaijani people in 20th century. According to APA, historians and other intellectuals have participated at the conference. Chairman of the Karabakh Liberation Organization Akif Naghi said today all residential areas of Azerbaijan suffered from the Armenian crimes. He said peaceful way of liberation of the occupied lands gave no results. â€œWe can liberate the lands only by the military way. It needs to put an end to this occupation only by the military way. Armenian state was established in the Azerbaijani lands, everyone knows thatâ€.

Naghi said it needed to investigate all crimes committed by Armenians in 20th century and to publish works about that. â€œToday such works are written, but there is no systemized approach of that. On the other hand, we have to investigate what the international law gives us regarding the Armenian crimes and what we can doâ€. Naghi considered it important to determine steps should b taken for denouncing Armenians in massacres they committed.

Historian Vagif Abishov made report on â€œMass crimes committed by Armenians against Azerbaijanis in 20th centuryâ€, president of National NGO Forum Rauf Zeyni â€“ â€œThe role of public initiatives in denouncing of Armenian genocide policy against Azerbaijanisâ€, doctor of law Kamil Salimov â€“ â€œLegal-political problems of genocide policyâ€, political scientist Araz Aslanli â€“ â€œArmenian mass crimes against Azerbaijanis and international lawâ€.

The conference adopted resolution demanding to bring Armenians to justice for deportation against Azerbaijanis, to value massacres as a crime against humanity, to achieve objective decisions of international courts, correct political value of international community and to punish Armenian criminals.
