Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev – APA. Speaker of Azerbaijani parliament Ogtay Asadov received the delegation led by OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Kanat Saudabayev, APA reports. Ogtay Asadov appreciated the visit of OSCE Chairman-in-Office to the region with the view of studying the socio-political situation. Noting the effective cooperation between Azerbaijan and OSCE Asadov said they intended to extend the relations.

The happenings in Georgia were visual evidence. There are over 1500 conflicts in the world. If we approach the issue from the aspect of people’s right to self-determination, then the political map of the world should be redrawn,” he said.

Kanat Saudabayev underlined that he made his first visit in capacity of OSCE Chairman-in-Office to Azerbaijan.
“During our country’s chairmanship OSCE will increase its efforts for the solution to Nagorno Karabakh conflict. The aim of the visit to the region is to study the situation, specify the sides’ positions in order to eliminate the conflict,” he said.
