Azerbaijani President participates in opening of Republic Perinatal Center

Baku â€“ APA. Republic Perinatal Center was opened in Baku on December 28. APA reports that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva also participated in the ceremony.

President acquainted himself with the conditions created in the new medical facility. Republic Perinatal Center has been established in line with the â€œProgram of measures on the protection of health of mothers and childrenâ€ adopted under the order of the head of state. The center has been supplied with modern equipment.

Perinatal examination and treatment will be available in the center, normal pregnancy will be ensured. Inpatient treatment of the women with pathologies, resuscitation and rehabilitation aid to the newborn babies, medical, psychological aid will be available in the Perinatal Center.
120-bed center has maternity department, pathologic pregnancy department, neonatology, intensive care department, resuscitation department, surgery, laboratory, X-ray examination unit, ultrasound examination unit, rooms for transfusion medicine, physiotherapy. 125 doctors, including gynecologists, therapists, surgeons, ultrasound doctors will serve the pregnant women, parturient women and newborn babies.
