Azerbaijan Euro-integration National Public Committee makes statement on forthcoming trial of Adnan Hajizadeh and Emin Milli

Baku. Elnur Mammadli â€“ APA. Azerbaijan Euro-integration National Public Committee made a statement concerning the trial of Adnan Hajizadeh and Emin Milli, the committeeâ€™s press service told APA. The committee appeals to the countryâ€™s leadership and public, expresses concern over the forthcoming trial. The committee members note that according to the opinion of the countryâ€™s civil society and international democratic community, the arrest and trial of the young persons is connected with their public activity and self-defense.
â€œYoung people are punished for their wish to live in the open and fair society, where opinion and rights of all people are respected.â€

The committee calls on the countryâ€™s leadership to give up such steps that damage the image of the state and to release both young men.

Heads of over 25 NGOs signed the statement.
