Petition on Khojaly Genocide officialy registered at European Parliament and German Bundestag

She said the official petition to both parliaments have been sent on behalf of Azerbaijani diaspora organizations operating in Europe, relevantly in Germany and Azerbaijanis living therein: “Fortunately, the document that we submitted to the European Parliament in the form of a petition has been registered and even archived. This means that the Khojaly Genocide is now stored in the European Parliament’s archive as an official document not depending on whether it will be discussed or not. According to our long-lasting efforts and relations, we hope that this document will soon be put up for discussion at the parliament and a legal decision will be made”.

S. Patzer-Ismailova added that the the petition has also been registered in the German Bundestag: “They informed us that the petition has been registered by a relevant committee as an official document. If we constantly do necessary works for putting up this petition for discussion, they’ll take all possible steps within their authority”.

She said all the acitivities are carried out under the Azerbaijani government’s direct support: "We thank the Azerbaijani state, President Ilham Aliyev, as well as the State Committee for Work with Diaspora for supporting all our efforts, activities. This is the success is Azerbaijani people, Azerbaijani state”.

Under the support of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora, APA Holding is holding meetings with diaspora organizations in Germany and Belgium within the project titled “Azerbaijanis outside the border…”.
