Baku. Mubariz Aslanov – APA. All-Russian Congress of Azerbaijanis will open an office in Crimea, Executive Director of the Congress Ilgar Hajiyev told APA.
Hajiyev noted that as Crimea was officially annexed to the Russian Federation in accordance with the country’s legislation, there is a need to open the office of All-Russian Congress of Azerbaijanis to support the activities of Azerbaijani Diaspora organizations: “Diaspora organizations of the other people living in Russia have already opened their offices in Crimea. Since we live in Russia, we should do so in accordance with the laws of this country.”
Russia and Crimea signed the relevant agreement on March 18. According to the agreement, Crimea and Sevastopol became parts of the Russian Federation as two new subjects.
