“Azerbaijan – land of tolerance” photo exhibition opens in Israel

Baku – APA. “Azerbaijan – land of tolerance” photo exhibition opened in the old city of Acre, Israel.

 

Press service of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora told APA that the event was organized by Israel-Azerbaijan International Association (AZIZ) in partnership with the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and National Tolerance Center.

 

The event attended by deputy mayor of Acre city, Zev Neuman, members of city councils of Kiryat Yam and Or Akiva cities, Yosi Peysakhov and Margaret Kazakova caused a great interest.

 

Delivering speeches at the opening of the exhibition, deputy mayors of the city Rauf Aghalarov, Zev Neuman spoke about the Jewish community in Azerbaijan.

 

Touching on the activity of AZIZ, Zev Neuman noted that the organization strengthens the ties between the two countries with each project. He expressed his respect to Azerbaijan’s policy basing on the friendship and mutual respect.

 

Following the speeches, member of Writers' Union of Azerbaijan and Israel Anton Agarunov recited his poems in the Azerbaijani language.
