Chairman of Turkish Parliament: “Khojaly tragedy must be recognized by the world communityâ€

The book reflecting the history of Azerbaijan-Armenia Nagorno Karabakh problem, geopolitical, legal and cultural aspects was written by famous Azerbaijani scientists and experts. Chairman of Turkish Parliament Mehmet Ali Shahin delivered speech at the event organized Islamic Conference Youth Forum and Turkish deputies. He noted the importance of recognition the Khojaly tragedy by the world community.
Appreciating the activity of international campaign “Justice for Khojaly†launched on the initiative of General Coordinator of the OIC Youth Foundation on Intercultural Dialogue Leyla Aliyeva, he noted the importance of strengthening the joint efforts of Azerbaijani and Turkish communities abroad for informing the world community about Khojaly tragedy.
Turkish MP Junyed Yuksel, chairman of the Interparliamentary group of the Azerbaijan- Turkish friendship Mustafa Kabakchi, Turkish historian on the so-called Armenian genocide Yusif Halajoglu, Azerbaijani ambassador to Turkey Zakir Hashimov delivered speeches at the presentation of the book “Karabakh: questions and factsâ€. Turkish deputies noted that they hope with this book public would receive comprehensive and objective information about Karabakh conflict. The photoexhibiton “Justice for Khojaly†reflecting one-year activity of the campaign was opened at the end of the event that will continue till March 2. The event has been covered by the leading Turkish media.
The Justice for Khojaly campaign was launched in 2009 by Leyla Aliyeva, Head of the Azerbaijan Youth Organization of Russia and OIC Youth Forum coordinator for cross-cultural dialogue. The main purpose of the international awareness campaign "Justice for Khojaly-Freedom for Karabakh" is to contribute to restoration of historic justice and recognition of Khojaly genocide by the world community.
