US President Donald Trump has stated during a speech to Republican Party supporters in Iowa that Washington may take further action if an agreement with Iran is not reached, APA reports.
Trump said he wanted to end the conflict with Iran but that at some point, the United States might have to use force against Tehran.
He emphasized that the United States would soon resolve the issue with Iran either through an agreement or by other means.
Trump had previously informed Congress that he did not intend to launch strikes against Iran before the midterm elections.
According to Axios, he also wants to prioritize negotiations with Tehran rather than resume military operations immediately after the elections.
