“Global DTC Pte Ltd, an international transport and logistics company, plans to launch an initiative at COP29 and turn the Middle Corridor into a green road,” said Janar Bagasharova, head of the company's Program Development Department, at the "Black Sea-Caspian Logistics Forum 2024" event held in Baku on "International transport corridors in the Black Sea and Caspian Seas", APA-Economics reports.
She said that they are currently cooperating closely with Türkiye and Europe:
“In order to increase the sustainability of the Middle Corridor, the DTC is preparing an initiative to present at COP29. The main objective of the initiative is to demonstrate the use of the Middle Corridor as a green road, assess the reduction of carbon emissions and promote initiatives to reduce the carbon footprint.”
The foreign guest noted that the company she represents pays attention to the integration of the states located along the Middle Corridor, especially Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Georgia:
“Currently, we have successfully implemented the technical integration, we have added the cargo tracking function to our joint platform with Kazakhstan Railways, "Java" Delivery Service and "Java". One of the main achievements was to remove Kazakhstan from the "gray zone" by ensuring the transparency of processes on the border between Kazakhstan and China. This was made possible by the application of the digital customs solution.”
