United Nations Secretary General António Guterres has unveiled his expectations regarding COP29, which will be held in Baku this year, APA reports.
According to the information, at the "SCO plus" meeting held in Astana, UN Secretary General António Guterres said that COP29 will be held this year, and steps should be taken to prevent global climate change from now on.
Guterres said that greater funding should be allocated to combat climate change: “COP29 needs a clear strategy on financial issues. The second issue is related to artificial intelligence. We need to work together with technology companies and civil society institutions to reduce risks related to artificial intelligence. We need approaches such as a single market and a single internet. The Global Digital Compact is very important to us."
