On August 15, 2024, the third hybrid meeting of the COP29 NGO Coalition, which was established at the initiative of the Azerbaijan National NGO Forum, was held, APA reports.
The meeting included extensive discussions on increasing the participation of civil society organizations in COP29 as well as in local, national, and international development initiatives.
Requests from foreign countries to join the COP29 NGO Coalition are increasing. Currently, 170 NGOs from 43 countries are part of the Coalition, with 69 of them holding observer status under the UNFCCC. The Azerbaijan National NGO Forum represents Azerbaijani NGOs in the Coalition.
