"The full support for the Green Digital Action Declaration is required," the Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union, Doreenn Bogdan-Martin, said during a high-level roundtable on green digital activities at COP29, APA reports.
"Our member states have understood that digital transformation and sustainability must go hand in hand. Let's not forget that the fight against climate change also forms the basis of the UN's Pact for the Future and its Global Digital Compact. Today, here, renewable energy consumers, and some are already using 100% renewable electricity. The digital sector can and should do more when it comes to 'greening.' Therefore, we are here today to support the COP29 Green Digital Action Declaration," Dorin Bogdan-Martin added.
