We trust in Azerbaijan's presidency of COP29, the 73rd President of the UN General Assembly, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs (2017-2018) and Minister of National Defense (2012-2014) of Ecuador, Maria Fernanda Espinosa, said at the 29th High-Level Meeting themed “Pathway to COP29: Sustainable and Resilient Future” held in Baku, APA reports.
She stated that the success of COP29 will be a victory for climate change and for the planet itself: "We have a responsibility for this conference to have successful outcomes and vision. Today, we are here to have intellectual discussions on climate change and to learn and share experiences. The success of this conference will not only be Azerbaijan's success; it will create trust and confidence among parties and countries, ensuring legitimacy in the multipolar world. We trust in Azerbaijan's hospitality and presidency."
