"Azerbaijan may announce the results of the first renewable energy auction at COP29, supported by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)," Aida Sitdikova, Director of the EBRD's Energy and Natural Resources Department for Russia, Caucasus, and Central Asia, at the Investment Forum on Energy Transition for Central Asia held within the framework of COP29
She mentioned that the EBRD is organizing auctions for renewable energy sources in 14 countries.
"I am pleased to announce that at least three of them are in Central Asia and Azerbaijan. These countries are Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan. The results of the first auction supported by the EBRD in Azerbaijan will be announced at COP29," Aida Sitdikova added.
