Today is the opening of the COP29 Peace, Relief and Recovery Day, APA reports.
The opening will take place at the High-level Panel on Climate and Peace: Enabling joint action to leave no one behind held within COP29.
The event was organized by the Joint Initiative established by Azerbaijan COP29 (Azerbaijan, Egypt, Germany, Italy, Uganda, United Arab Emirates, Great Britain) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov, ministers of more than 20 countries, representatives of the government at the level of special representatives, UN agencies, aid banks, international organizations, think tanks are participating in the event.
At the end of the event, a document called "Baku Call" will be announced on COP29 Peace Day.
The Baku Call (Baku Call for Climate Action for Peace, Relief and Recovery) will be the key outcome document of the COP29 Day of Peace.
At the same time, the Baku Center for Climate and Peace Action will be established at the event.
