"For the first time, we have funded the agricultural achievements report,” said Fergus Auld, the British ambassador to Azerbaijan during his speech at the second day of the Baku Climate Action Week, APA reports.
He said that this is an independent report: "Azerbaijan and Britain cooperated in the preparation of this agenda. As a COP-29 country, Azerbaijan will start the Baku Action Initiative.”
The ambassador noted that we need people's livelihoods: "We should support food systems that do not harm nature. People must grow their own food. Getting results on climate change requires political will. We have fought global starvation. As a result, millions of farmers grew their own food in poor countries."
