"When the decision was made to triple renewable energy, Brazilians were saying, 'How are we going to triple that?' André Corrêa do Lago, Secretary of Climate, Energy and Environment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil said at the panel meeting held in Baku within the framework of the Preliminary Conference of the Parties on Climate Change (Pre-COP29), APA reports.
He said that in Brazil, 90% of your electricity and 49% of all energy is already renewable: Brazil is very ready to prepare COP30 to further strengthen this agenda and provide solutions mainly for developing countries. It is a most enjoyable event and we are very, very happy to be present today and to contribute to this agenda."
He added that he is happy to be in Baku: "This is the place where emissions are increasing. We need to find new solutions within COP29."
