An international conference titled "Climate Change and Just Transition: The Role and Actions of Trade Unions" is being held in Baku, APA reports.
The event has been organized jointly by the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (ATUC), the International Labour Organization-Bureau for Workers 'Activities (ILO-ACTRAV), the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC), and the Pan-European Regional Council (PERC).
The conference began with the singing of the National Anthem of Azerbaijan.
The video appeal of Mukhtar Babayev, the designated president of COP29, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan, was shown.
Noted that the conference will continue with panel discussions on September 27.
