On October 17, a delegation led by the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev embarked on a working visit to Vienna, the Prosecutor General's Office told APA.
A special session titled "Protecting People and the Planet through Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice - from Vienna (UNTOC-COP12) to Baku (UNFCCC-COP29)" was held by the Azerbaijan Prosecutor General's Office and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
The event saw participation from officials of foreign embassies accredited in Vienna, as well as representatives from the Prosecutor's Offices of Austria and Thailand, the International Anti-Corruption Academy, and the International Association of Prosecutors.
Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev noted that preparations for COP29 are nearing completion under the direct leadership of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
A promotional video for COP29 was also shown during the event.
Azerbaijan's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Austria Rovshan Sadigbayli also participated in the meetings.
The working visit of the delegation to the Republic of Austria has concluded.
