Fake news and disinformation related to COP29 are being spread, Ilgar Musayev, head of the State Service of Special Communication and Information Security of the Republic of Azerbaijan, told journalists, APA-Economics reports.
Mr Musayev noted that these reports contain fake information, such as claims about job openings or financial support related to COP29: "We constantly analyze this information. Efforts are underway to block the resources where they are being disseminated. In the last two months, 15 resources that spread this disinformation have been shut down by us."
"As a service, we have certain requirements regarding cybersecurity in government agencies. However, there is a shortage of personnel to meet these requirements in those institutions. All state agencies must make efforts to eliminate this personnel shortage so that we can strengthen this area in the country," Musayev stated.
