Roskomnadzor spokesman Vladimir Pikov said that the video hosting YouTube has been incorrectly put on the list of the Web sites banned in Russia.
Russia’s Consumer Rights Protection Service has denied blacklisting YouTube hosting Wednesday. This came in a statement by Russia’s Chief Health Inspector Gennady Onishchenko who explained that the Service insisted on banning 22 videos showing suicide and death scenes, not access to YouTube in general. Later YouTube has been removed from Russia’s banned websites list.
