New areas of defense cooperation between Armenia and the United States have been discussed, Armenia Today said, APA reports.
Chief of the General Staff of Armenia, Lieutenant General Edvard Asryan, met with US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Andrew Loomis.
During the meeting, the sides discussed peacekeeping activities, military education, the training of sergeants, instructors and junior commanders, as well as the holding of joint military exercises.
Andrew Loomis stated that the United States would continue its existing programs with Armenia and was ready to discuss deepening defense cooperation in new areas.
