Belarus president guarantees better conditions for investors

Bakju-APA. President Alexander Lukashenko has guaranteed foreign investors will find better conditions for doing business in Belarus.

There were a dynamically developing economy, a favorable investment and taxation climate, good infrastructure, reliable protection and a number of preferences for investors in Belarus, Lukashenko said Thursday in a statement welcoming participants to the 7th Belarus Investment Forum.

The president said the Common Economic Space of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan opened up huge prospects for investors in Belarus. "The development of partnerships with foreign business is an important direction of the economic policy of Belarus," he said.

Experts, investors, traders and foreign journalists, representatives of about 500 international organizations and companies, arrived here to get acquainted with the potential of Belarus through the forum.

Experts predict the forum will yield contracts totaling at least a billion dollars.
