A female suicide bomber was behind a blast that killed 11 people in the Russian region of North Ossetia

Vladikavkaz-APA. The bomb exploded as a minibus passed in a busy street in the centre of Vladikavkaz, the province’s capital.
Investigators from the Russian prosecution service have opened a terrorism inquiry.
The blast was caused by a female suicide bomber, APA repots quoting Sky News.
Witnesses said the bus was packed with people at the time of the blast.
"As passengers were getting on and off an explosion occurred outside the vehicle," the Interfax News Agency quoted an interior ministry press officer as saying.
Emergency services said 28 people were injured and had sought medical help.
North Ossetia lies on Russia’s southern border with Georgia.
It lies close to several regions which have suffered instability in recent years, including Chechnya, Dagestan and Ingushetia.
