Ukrainian communists clash with police during the protest action in Donetsk

Donetskâ€“APA. Activists of the Ukrainian Communist Party clashed with police in Donetsk during the protest action against President Victor Yushchenkoâ€™s visit to the region, APA reports. The president arrived in Donetsk to attend the Ukrainian-Polish forum in the building of regional administration. Nearly 70 activists of the Communist Party tried to enter into the building to express their protest to the president, but police prevented them, which led to the confrontation between the sides. Police is cordoning the building at present, but the communists hold meeting in front of the building. They protested the Ukraineâ€™s integration into NATO and arm deals with Georgia chanting â€œWe support friendship with Russiaâ€, â€œDonbas people are against Yushchenkoâ€.
