Work of CIS Collective Force in Georgia-Abkhaz zone stopped under decision of Bishkek summit

Baku. Lachin Sultanova â€“ APA. Bishkek summit of the Commonwealth of Independent States has come to an end, APA reports. According to the final decision of the summit, the work of the CIS Collective Force for Maintaining Peace in the Georgia-Abkhaz zone has been stopped. The decision was included into the agenda on Russiaâ€™s initiative and accepted. The heads of states also determined the energy sphere as the main field of cooperation in CIS in 2009. Decision was also made to work out draft Economic Development Strategy of CIS by 2020. Under the decision of the summit working group was set up to determine the ways for prevention of negative consequences of ongoing financial crisis on CIS countries. The first meeting of the group will be held on the level of Finance Ministers in Moscow within 10 days.
