US Ambassador to Armenia: â€œUS expects progress in the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflictâ€

Yerevan â€“ APA. US expects progress in the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflictâ€, said US new ambassador to Armenia Mary Yovanovich at the press conference in Yerevan, APA quotes News Armenia agency. She said it would be possible to make decision easier after the presidential elections in Azerbaijan. The ambassador said every conflict is unique and settlement of every conflict demanded new decisions. â€œYes, there is a principle of territorial integrity, but there are other principles too, as well as non-using the force and self-determination right of the nations. Therefore every conflict should be reviewed separatelyâ€.
Yovanovich said she supported Turkeyâ€™s initiative of the Caucasian Peace and Cooperation Platform. â€œThe Turkeyâ€™s initiative is in the phase of preparation and there is no final version yetâ€.
