Georgia’s withdrawal from CIS includes in agenda of the Council of CIS Foreign Ministers

Baku. Lachin Sultanova–APA. Meeting of CIS Council of Heads of States will be held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan on October 10, APA reports.
Assembly of the Council of Foreign Ministers will be held on October 9. Meeting of Heads of States will cover 21, but assembly of Foreign Ministers 26 issues. Nine of documents will be debated in both meetings. Kyrgyzstan chairing CIS proposed to include an issue on Georgia’s withdrawal from CIS in agenda of the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers.
Georgian Foreign Ministry filed a note to CIS Executive Committee on August 18. The document envisages Georgia’s leaving documents on establishment of CIS, adoption of its regulations, creation of Economic Union. According to regulations of CIS, a state, which wants to withdraw from the organization, should appeal 12 months ago. Georgia will be considered to leave CIS from August 18, 2009.
