Death of coalition to be announced in Ukraine Tuesday

Kiev–APA. Speaker of Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada Arseniy Yatseniuk plans to announce about the democratic coalition breakup at the parliamentary session on Tuesday, APA reports quoting UNIAN. He claimed this at a session of the Conciliatory Council of parliamentary factions and committees on Monday.
According to him, he did not receive any statement recalling the previous statement of Our Ukraine – People’s Self-Defense concerning the breakup of the coalition.
“Thus, in line with article 65 of the Verkhovna Rada Temporary Regulations, an official procedure of bidding farewell to the coalition will take place. Those willing are welcome with flowers and wreaths at 10 a.m.”, the Verkhovna Rada Speaker claimed.
Andrey Portnov, member of the Yulia Timoshenko Bloc’s (BYuT) parliament group announced they would begin consultations for establishing the new coalition. Member of Our Ukraine-People’s Self Defense Pavel Jebrivsky said they would Prepare for early elections if BYuT and Party of Regions didn’t’ create coalition. “We have tow choices. We will move to the opposition if BYuT and Party of Regions create coalition. If they don’t we will prepare for early elections”.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko and Volodymyr Lytvyn agreed to set up a new coalition of BYuT, Lytvyn’s Bloc, and Our Ukraine –People’s Self-Defense factions, representative of the Ukrainian patriotic intelligentsia, Volodymyr Yavorivskiy said.
On September 2, BYuT lawmakers together with MPs of the Party of Regions and CPU adopted draft laws restricting the President’s authority and did not vote for the OU-PSD resolution on Georgia. The Our Ukraine-People’s Self-Defense Bloc called these actions treason and made decision to quit the coalition on September 3.
