Georgian Defense Ministry confirms using cluster bombs against Russian troops

Tbilisi-APA. Georgian Defense Ministry confirmed the fact of using cluster bombs during the operation in South Ossetia, APA quotes RIA-Novosty. The Ministry said it used cluster bombs not against the civilians, but only against the Russian troops. â€œGeorgian Army has M85 heavy machine guns supplied with Gradlar 160 rocket launcher system and cluster bombs. We never use these systems against the civilians. Gradlar was used only against the Russian armored troops moving from the Roksky Tunnel toward Georgiaâ€. Human Rights Watch organization said cluster bombs were found in the Georgian village of Shindisi which is not in the territory of South Ossetia. The organization said Russian Army had no such weapons.
