Rally held in Makhachkala demanded resignation of Dagestan Interior Minister

Makhachkala â€“ APA. The participants of the rally held in the center of Makhachkala demanded resignation of Interior Minister Adilgerey Mahammadtahirov and investigation of the special operations carried out by the law-enforcement bodies in Dagestan. APA reports that a lot of people, as well as the relatives of the persons, who died during the special operations, participated in the rally. They wanted to enter Interior Ministry, but about 300 policemen did not allow them in. The protesters stopped the traffic in one of the central highways of Makhachkala. The traffic was restored after the talks. At the end of the rally the protesters said the demand of interior ministerâ€™s resignation had been eliminated. In stead of it the protesters asked the Interior Ministry to restore discipline in the country.
