UN Security Council Chairman Belgian ambassador Jean Grauls said the Council postponed its decision on Georgian-Russian conflict because of discord between the European diplomats. The Security Council’s session was held at Georgia’s request. Russian ambassador Vitaliy Churkin accused the Western countries in the double standards and described the meeting without Abkhazian and South Ossetian representatives as an insignificant. “Abkhazia and South Ossetia have more rights for independence than Kosovo”, said the Russian ambassador. The session ended without any resolution. Russian newspapers said the United States, as a host country for UN Headquarters had to give visa to all member countries. However American diplomats said that Abkhazian and South Ossetian representatives wouldn’t be granted with visa because Georgia didn’t recognize their independence.
