Russia successfully tests long-range Topol missile

Moscow–APA. Russia said it successfully tested a long-range Topol intercontinental ballistic missile from its Plesetsk launch site designed to avoid detection by anti-missile defense systems, APA reported. According to Russian Army Command, the experimental warhead section of the rocket is able to hit its target breaking the missile defense system. The rocket hit its pre-determined target on the Kamchatka peninsula overcoming 6 000 km for 25 minutes. Russia tested the ballistic rockets last December for the last time. The RS-12M Topol, called the SS-25 Sickle by NATO, has a maximum range of 10,000 km (6,125 miles) and can carry one 550-kiloton warhead.
