Tbilisi – APA. “Russian President Dmitry Medvedev’s recognizing Abkhazia and South Ossetia as independent states means Moscow’s annexation of Georgian territories,” Deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia Giga Bokeria said, APA reports.
“This is an unconcealed annexation of these territories, which are a part of Georgia” he said.

Secretary of Georgian National Security Council Kakha Lomaia said the relations between Georgia and Russia had been suspended for a long time.
“Russia’s decision to recognize the independence of the separatists regions has no legal meaning for Georgia. The main legal document regulating Georgia’s sovereignty is the country’s Constitution meeting international legal norms,” he said.
