CIS leaders and foreign ministers to discuss Georgia’s leaving

Baku. Lachin Sultanova–APA. CIS council of permanent representatives decided on Tuesday at the meeting in Minsk to put Georgia’s leaving CIS on agenda of the CIS councils of foreign ministers and heads of states, APA reports. Russian representative to CIS Yevgeniy Belov said that Georgian foreign ministry sent official documents to CIS Executive Committee informing its leaving the commonwealth.
Belov said Georgia didn’t participate in CIS activity almost over the past three years and Georgia had a sovereign right to leave CIS. He said that Georgia promised to fulfill all treaties and agreements it signed.

CIS foreign ministers will gather on October 9 and head of states on October 10 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
