Thousands of people are gathered outside Parliament, protesting against ex-Defense Minister Irakli Okruashvili’s arrest. MP Koka Guntsadze read the appeal of Irakli Okruashvili to participants of the action in which he appeals to participants of the action to unite and expresses gratitude for the support.
“Get united and fight for your rights. The only thing I fought for was integrity of the country… Don’t be afraid of anyone, unite for getting rid of a tyrant, get rid of Saakashvili’s regime”, Okruashvili’s appeal reads.
The opposition leaders at the rally also called for unity and urged the protesters to fight against, what they called, “injustice.”
Okruashvili denied all charges against him.
MP Koka Guntsadze, member of the party “Movement for the United Georgia” stated that protest actions will cover whole country.
Participants of the action blocked Rustaveli Avenue. Patrol police is mobilized on the spot. /APA/
