PACE Monitoring Committee members visit Georgia

Members of Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly Monitoring Committee are visiting Georgia, APA’s Georgia bureau reports. The head of the delegation Matias Yorsh first met with the State Minister for Conflicts Resolution David Bakradze. He underlined the necessity of increasing the role of the Council of Europe on solving the conflicts in Georgian territory. The delegation are planned to meet with President Mikhail Saakashvili, Prime Minister Zurab Nogaydeli and other officials, as well as representatives of opposition and NGOs. The delegation will review detention places and jails and have meeting with heads of separatist regimes in South Ossetia and Abkhazia. /APA/
